这是一间很少人知道的传统蒸馏厂，毛脚燕们还绕着虫池点水飞翔，而其生产的威士忌却非凡而具有特色，在《经典纯麦威士忌》一书中，Glen Elgin替代了Cragganmore 纯麦成为斯佩塞地区的纯麦代表。

Glen Elgin distillery is situated in the heart of Speyside, close to the ancient Royal Burgh of Elgin.  The distillery applies many traditional craft practices in the making of its whisky, including pine washbacks and now rare worm tubs. 

Glen Elgin distillery was founded in 1899; bankrupted builders as recession loomed. It is the last distillery to be built on Speyside for sixty years. It is part of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1930. Electricity not needed until 1950 as powered entirely by water. Expanded from two stills to six in early 1960s.

It is an unusually distinctive Speyside malt, from a little known traditional distillery. House martins swoop among the worm tubs. Only available as a single malt since 1960s. Tangerine fruitiness is this hand-crafted make’s “signature”, born of long and precise fermentation. Easily accessible, with Speyside fruit and sweetness.
